Turf Club
In Singapore, there is no better way to spend your weekend than having a
ball at the local horse racing club. Here, with the beginning of any race,
the excitement level starts rising and reaches its maximum towards the
finishing stages. At the club, we had a great chance to have a flutter (min
Sing $5) and watch the unmatched enthusiasm of Singaporeans who come here
dressed in their finest and participate in the race.
Chinatown
We had plans to explore this fascinating place in just a one day but the
moment we reached there, we realized that it's impossible to savor the
beauty of this place in such a short period. However, we began the trip by
exploring the area on a trishaw. It was an enriching experience to pass
through various shopping plazas, Chinese temples and restaurants.
The front facades of the shops were faithfully preserved to retain their
architectural value and it impressed all of us.
Orchard Road
Singapore is famous for its shopping activities and the upmarket Orchard
Road reflects this fact in the most convincing way. As a group of ardent
shoppers, we reached here when most of the shops were about to open and
spent the entire day just shopping! The road had all the leading stores and
it was hard to resists ourselves from the tempting offers given by various
leading brands.
