Day 01 :
Arrival in Lucerne by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or airport.

Day 02 :
Board the historic William Tell paddle steamer for the cruise to Flüelen just before midday. A three course meal is served on board in the first class restaurant. From Flüelen you continue your journey through the famous Gotthard tunnel to Lugano in panorama cars 1st class. Overnight in Lugano.

Day 03 :
Time at leisure in Lugano. Enjoy the mediterranean atmosphere in the southern part of Switzerland. Stroll along the lakeside promenade or go up to Monte Bre or San Salvatore. Overnight in Lugano.

Day 04 :
Departure by the famous Bernina Express (coach) to Tirano (Italy). From there by train over the Mount Bernina to St. Moritz. This exciting trip takes you through three cultures from palm trees across the regions of eternal snow to the valley of the young Rhine. Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 05 :
Day off for excursions. Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 06 :
Today you take the world famous Glacier Express train from St. Moritz to Zermatt. After an exhilarating 71/2 hour trip you will arrive at Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 07 :
Full day at leisure in Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 08 :
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.

Day 01 :
Arrival in Lucerne by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 02 :
Enjoy a ride in the first revolving gondola to Mount Titlis. 3020m/10’000ft. In Lucerne you board the LSE-train to Engelberg. There a small gondola takes you up to the Trübsee. You continue your trip by another gondola to Stand. Finally the revolving gondola takes you up to Mount Titlis. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 03 :
A two-train trip from Lucerne to Interlaken. First with the Brünig Railway to the wood-carving village of Brienz. Then by Rothorn Railway (partly steam-driven) up to the Brienzer Rothorn, with its excellent hiking trails and superb views over the lake. Afternoon descent, and transfer by train or ship from Brienz to Interlaken Ost for overnight stay.

Day 04 :
The beautiful Bernese Oberland! First from Interlaken Ost via Lauterbrunnen (change trains) and Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall. Then by Jungfrau Railway via the Eiger Glacier to the Jungfraujoch – at 3454m/11,333ft the highest railway station in Europe. Views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. Second overnight in Interlaken.

Day 05 :
This is Schynige Platte day. First from Interlaken Ost to the neighbouring village of Wilderswil. Then by cogwheel railway up to the Schynige Platte, with its unique Alpine Garden and views of the towering trio of the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger. Third overnight in Interlaken.

Day 06 :
We take the train from Interlaken Ost, changing in both Spiez and Brig before reaching the car-free Alpine resort Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 07 :
By cogwheel railway up to the Gornergrat, with views of the majestic Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and other spectacular summits. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 08 :
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.
